Floral

A new flower...

While I lazed around this morning, watching cookery shows in Spanish given by cheerful Japanese chefs, Liz was out for a walk.

When she got back she suggested we go see this sculpture. It was installed in 2003, and it's pretty big. Okay, massive. It looks impressive, the circular pond underneath gives a great reflection. Best of all, it closes each night at dusk: I asked the security guy and he said it depended on the strength of the sun (somewhere between five thirty and seven pm). So kind of like the bad light detectors at a cricket match (not that the security guy said anything about that: I added that bit myself).

So we think we'll head back there tonight to see....

Hi BABETs, (aka BAs Best Eng Teachers)

Just caught up with your blogs -and the last two just creased me up! I don't know if it was the Alsatian in the T-shirt, the poodle in camouflage or the thought of ancient Argy waiters in BAs (British Airways?....sorry, couldn't resist) public loos!! It was just one of those silly moments that catch you off guard and make you laugh out loud!
Love the sculpure - though I can't help feeling I've seen it, or something like it, before somewhere - but where exactly escapes me at the moment.
As for the cold..... Ha, from a wet and miserable Basel I say it sounds positively balmy.....or do I mean barmy???
So now you two, on your feet and give me five miles worth of anti-churros jogging!! NO???? OK, go on John - back to the sofa and the japanese chefs ... at least Liz was out exercising!

Enjoy,
Carolynne.
